Summer Reading Club Kickoff
Dino Hatching Fun!
Have some dino fun this summer at the kickoff party to Summer Reading Club. Come hatch a dino egg to take home, sign up for Summer Reading Club and visit the Bookmobile.
Drop-in any time between 10 am - noon at the library's booth at the Charlestown Pop-Up Market on the Square. No registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Create Tiny Art
Everyone is welcome to pick up a tiny art canvas from one of our five library branches starting June 1. Create your tiny art on the canvas using any medium (paint, crayon, fabric, paper, etc.). Bring your art to the library and it will be displayed until the Tiny Art Shows.
All tiny art must be returned by July 17 to be in one of the Tiny Art Shows. Please tell us which Tiny Art Show you would like your art displayed in.

Celebrate Juneteenth
Join in the celebration of Juneteenth at Charlestown Library. Come watch the movie Soul. Snacks and a fun music craft will be provided.

Celebrate the USA Turning 250 Years Old!
Families and children of all ages are welcome to join in the celebration at this Wild West Birthday Party featuring The Cowboy Posse. Activities include crafts, birthday cake, cowboy reenactments, stories and a cowboy meet & greet. Registration is required.

Potato Derby for Tweens & Teens
Tweens/Teens in grades 5-8 can join us for a night of fun racing cars made out of potatoes. Participants can stop by the library and pick up supplies to make your potato derby car and the official rules for making your car.
On event day, bring your potato car to race against other potato cars. Prizes awarded for grand champion racer and for best designed potato car. Registration is required.
