"Character Sketches," our flagship adult art participation program entered its third year in 2020! Thanks to our many participants, it has been amazingly successful.

For 2020 we expanded the program. The expansion includes extending the characters to include those from books, movies, television, and games and to try to choose more diverse characters and adding a different theme for each month.

1.8.2020 - Persons of the Cloth
Sean Lambright as G. K. Chesterton's Father Brown
The character was based on a priest whom Chesterton had met who had acquired a deep understanding of human evil by listening to confessions. Father Brown appears clumsy and naive, with a face “as round and dull as a Norfolk dumpling.” His appearance, however, disguises a clever mind, penetrating insight, a gift for careful observation, and a deep understanding of human evil.
