Respected sex crimes cop Harry Blue is rocked to her core when her brother is arrested and charged with the murders of three young women. To keep her out of the way, she is transferred to what she considers the middle of nowhere to investigate a missing persons case. However, that doesn't stop Harry from working her brother's probe, all the while sidestepping a new partner she doesn't trust and exposing the dark secrets of her new post. Listening to this title was not a particularly satisfying experience. While the audio production is good, narrator Federay Holmes's performance is rather flat and monotone, making it difficult to discern all of the characters. Verdict Despite short chapters and concise writing, the story isn't especially compelling.-Nicole A. Cooke, SIS, Univ. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign © Copyright 2017.
