Our Read Alikes author and book lists are created by the Culpeper County Library staff and volunteers.  Features a growing list of read alike recommendations.

So, what is a "read alike"?  You can probably figure it out without a definition, but a read-alike is a book or series or another author that shares a commonality with another book or series or author that might appeal to the same reader. It could be a similar tone, setting, depth of characterization or type of plot, or even something else.

Books & Authors is a digital reader’s advisory resource, offering book suggestions from experts, information on specific book titles, author biographies and more. It offers access to more than 146,000 titles, and the list continually grows.

All books are recommended by librarians or other experts, are award winners or appear on bestseller lists. Over 40,000 nonfiction titles are included in business, biography, science and more. Fiction selections reflect the genres readers like best: mystery, science fiction, inspirational, romance, nonfiction, western, horror and fantasy. Check out the “read-a-like wizard”.
