The "¡Mujeres Presents! New Mexico Women Who Rocked the Vote" program features a cast of New Mexico Women wh will present a dramatic reenactment of suffragist Adelina Otero Warrn, one of the women whose hard work led to the New Mexico State Legislature's ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constition. 

New Mexico women who go to the polls in November 2012 will do so because of the perirtence of women who worked for the right to vote. Adelina Otero Warren was one of these women who rocked the vote.

Three large banners showing women campaigning before 1920 to win the right to vote are hanging from the ceiling in our library and will hang for the month of August, bringing attention to this event featuring the long and difficult struggle for the franchise.
