As one of the 100 largest school districts in the country, the Anchorage School District is diverse in its staff, students and program offerings. Approximately 50,000 students attend ASD schools.  Located in southcentral Alaska, we have schools in Anchorage, Eagle River, Chugiak and Girdwood.

There are 84 School Libraries in the Anchorage School District staffed by certified librarians. We have adopted library standards and are responsible for over 1.2 million items in our various collections.
