The Fleming County Public Library is taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by closing as per Governor Beshear as of March 25, 2020. This includes bookmobile services.
Staff will continue to work providing curbside services as requested. You can call in from 9-12 and materials will be available for pickup in the parking lot at the assigned areas between 1-4. You will be asked a few pertinent questions when asking for materials so that we can check them out on your card, and you will need to show a picture ID upon receiving the materials.
In case of notary or faxing and emailing needs, please call the library and we will try and serve your needs. We will accept items to be copied or faxed through our email flemingcountylibrary@yahoo.com and items, receipts and charges can be taken care of at curbside 1-4.
If a face to face request is needed, such as a notary, we are asking that you wear a mask, your temperature will be taken, and you will be asked if you have had any contact with the virus.
Patrons are encouraged to take advantage of the Library’s digital collection of e-books, e-audio, available through Overdrive at kyunbound.overdrive.com,. Additional digital resources for research, genealogy, etc. can be found on the Library’s website www.youseemore.com/fleming.
The library wishes to serve our community in the best possible way, but we are also thinking of the safety of our patrons and staff during this time.
Keep in mind our WIFI reaches the parking lot and is available 24/7.
Ages birth to 5 years old
For kids ages birth to kindergarten we are joining the nationwide challenge to complete 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. Families may register at the library, and will then receive a form to track the books that are read. All books will count, and books may be read more than once. Children will receive rewards and incentives along the way as we track their reading on a special bulletin board at the library. Any age between birth and 5 may start this challenge.
