All libraries in the East Albemarle Regional Library System are currently closed to the public until further notice.

All library locations are offering curbside pick-up for requested materials. Please check with your library for details.

Although no overdue fines are currently being charged while our buildings are closed, please remember that other library customers may be wanting to borrow the materials you have out. Library customers are encouraged to return items to one of our outdoor book drops.

Our libraries offer many digital resources including eBooks, eAudiobooks and more. Look at the list below on this page as well as your individual County Library’s website.

If you wish to use our online resources and are unsure how to begin, you may call any of our libraries during weekday daytime hours and a staff person will be happy to set up your account, and tell you more about our digital resources.

Our Cloud Library eBook collection contains popular eBooks for
adults, children and teens. Cloud Library eBooks can be read on
your tablet, smart phone or computer.

eAudiobooks are also available for your listening pleasure. Look for
the eAudio bookshelf or headphone icon on the cover.

In order to check out from the Cloud Library, you must first install the
Cloud Library app on your mobile device or tablet, or the Cloud
Library software on your computer.

You will also need your 14 digit library card barcode number and a
password. This password will be same as the PIN that you use to
access our online catalog for placing holds and checking your
account. If you have
never used this feature of our online catalog, please call or stop by
the library to receive a PIN for your library account. This PIN will be
the password for your Cloud Library account.

NC LIVE also provides resources that can be used for homework help, job search assistance, auto repair, downloadable audiobooks, useful websites and much more! NC Kids Digital Library has over 5,000 eBooks for preschoolers through Grade 4. Over 1,000 of these can be borrowed by more than one user at the same time. (Look for the Never-Ending Reading shelf for these titles.) Access with your 14-digit East Albemarle Regional Library Card barcode and library-assigned PIN.
