Through the generous support of our parents, we add many extra volumes to the library collection with our Birthday Gift Book Program.
During the month of the student’s birthday, the family may choose a selection from our annotated list of available books. These lists represent new titles and replacement volumes of some of our favorite books. A dedication plate honoring the child by name, birth month, and the year given is put in the front of the chosen book. The student is the first to check the book out when it is ready for circulation. If a family would like to donate a book that is not on the current list, it is helpful to check with the librarians to avoid duplication.
By supporting this voluntary program, families help us to expand the library collection. The children enjoy reading their birthday gift books year-to-year.
