The Fells Historic Estate & Gardens

The Fells Historic Estate & Gardens, located in Newbury, is one of New England’s finest examples of an early 20th-century summer estate. Discover 83.5 conserved acres of beauty and tranquility; learn the legacy of its founder, diplomat and statesman John Milton Hay, during historic guided tours of the 22-room Colonial Revival home; explore forest succession and nature’s diversity while walking woodland trails; and enjoy the renowned gardens. Gardens, Grounds and Trails are open daily year-round, 9 AM to 5PM; Shop and Main House are open 10 AM to 4 PM as follows: Spring Weekends and Monday holidays beginning May 28; Summer  Wed-Sun, June 22 through September 5; Fall Weekends and Monday holidays, September 5 through October 10. Each pass admits up to 2 adults and accompanying children under age 18 to The Fells Main House and grounds for free.
