March 28, 2013
VOTED: Minutes of regular meeting January 24, 2013 approved. Motion: Anderson; Second: Danosi. Unanimous.
VOTED: January 2013 expenditures approved. Motion: Perley: Second: Anderson. Unanimous.
February 2013 expenditures approved. Motion: Perley; Second: Anderson. Unanimous
VOTED: Election of Officers. On a motion by Perley, seconded by Juris, the Board voted unanimously to elect the following slate of officers:
- Chairman: Bob Selig
- Vice Chair: John Moriarty
- Treasurer: Olie Anderson
- Secretary: Kimberly Danosi
Laconia Public Library Board of Trustees held their regular monthly meeting in Volpe Room.
Chairman Bob Selig called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Present: James Anderson; Kimberly Danosi; Lois Juris; John Moriarty; John Perley; Glenn Smith; Director Randy Brough
Not Present: City Council Liaison Brenda Baer

Bob and Randy met with the City Manager to review FY 2013-2014 library budget. Manager made cuts to utility lines. Budget hearing before City Council is Monday, April 22 at 6:00 pm.
Bob spoke about his visit to the Lee County, Florida library. His photographs suggest improvements that can be made at LPL, particularly in the area of signage. Bob strongly encouraged fellow Trustees to visit libraries during their travels.
Board discussed interview with Robert Meier, retiring Director of Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners

Update on May 18 Gale to Goss Library Walk was provided. Director will check availability of a.) trolley to return folks from Goss to Gale; b.)High School woodwind ensemble to perform at Goss.
Means to increase publicity were discussed.
Library is still experiencing a staff shortage.
Future Meeting: May 16; June 27; July 25; August 22; September 26.
