VOTED:  Minutes of regular meeting December 13, 2012 approved. Motion: Anderson; Second: Brock. Unanimous.
 
VOTED: To award to Laconia Historical & Museum Society a $15,000.00 grant to partially cover costs associated with 2013 programming and exhibition series. Funds to come from Laconia Public Library Trust Fund. Motion: Moriarty; Second: Brock. Vote: six in favor; one opposed.
 
VOTED December 2012 expenditures approved. Motion: Anderson: Second: Juris. Unanimous.
 
Laconia Public Library Board of Trustees held their regular monthly meeting in Volpe Room.
Chairman Bob Selig called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Present: James Anderson; Daylon Brock; Kimberly Danosi; Lois Juris; John Moriarty; John Perley; Director Randy Brough  
Not Present:  City Council Liaison Brenda Baer; Glenn Smith (Alternate)
 
Brenda Polidoro from Laconia Historical & Museum Society presented a proposal for 2013 programs and exhibits. After some discussion, LPL Board voted to award LHMS a $15,000.00 grant to partially cover costs associated with the 2013 series. Funds are to come from Laconia Public Library Trust Fund. Motion: Moriarty; Seconded: Brock. Vote; six in favor; one opposed.
 
Board voted to approve December 2013 expenditures. Motion: Anderson: Second: Juris. Unanimous.
 
Directors Report:
Director gave an update on Walk to Read event. It will be held on the morning of May 18, will begin at Main Library, proceed along the Wow Trail, and culminate at Goss.
 
Two part-time employees have been hired, bringing the library back to full staff. Due to staff illnesses, library has had to spread thin available staff the past few weeks.
 
Director spoke about upcoming programs. February is a very busy month.
