We’ve got six weeks of Storytimes, special guests, challenges and activities planned to keep you reading and having fun all summer long. It all begins at our Summer Reading Blast Off on June 25th. Drop in to get your registration packets, visit our activity stations, meet some critters from Furry, Scaly Friends and enjoy an ice cream treat while you visit with your friends and plan your summer.

Make room in your summer calendar for some of our exciting special programs. Listen to Nature's Music with animals from the White Memorial Conservation Center and have some hands-on fun creating a Pet Alien from play dough. Learn about meteors and the craters they make with the New Haven Astronomical Society and be dazzled by the feats of Mr. Magic. Drop in for a Summer Storytime or get your groove on at our Music & Fingerplay Storytime. Chill out at a Friday afternoon movie matinee. Teens are invited to make Gem Art and create Pressed Flower Crafts. Tap into your own storytelling power at our Creative Writing workshop with Mrs. Molly – she’s a published YA author!

Our Summer Reading voyage ends at our Finale on August 6th. We’ll celebrate your success with certificates and prizes and draw names to be Selectman For a Day. Stay for a Pizza Party and enjoy an interactive music performance by Spaceship Harmony. Make visiting the Library often a part of your summer plans!
