Interlibrary Loan

A notice to our patrons concerning Interlibrary Loan:

The Connecticut State Library is transitioning to a new vendor for the online statewide catalog.  The Harwinton Library will continue to request titles from other libraries for our patrons until the new system comes online.  However, the process will be more time consuming and it may be more difficult to obtain certain items.  We will do our best to find you the items that you need.  If a title you want is not in our collection, you can request an Interlibrary Loan by:

-emailing a request to

-filling out an Interlibrary Loan Request form at the Circulation Desk

-making a request by telephone during our normal business hours, 860-485-9113

Because of the added staff time involved in processing loans without the statewide catalog, we must limit patrons to 3 loan requests at a time.

The Harwinton Public Library can only process Interlibrary Loans for Harwinton residents.  Non-residents must make ILL requests through their local library.
