Becky Ebert Celebrates Thirty-Five Years as Employee of Handley Library

Handley Library hosted a reception for Becky to recognize her thirty-five years of service in the Stewart Bell Jr. Archives. Eighty people stopped by to share in the celebration sharing their stories of research and activities. John Huddy, Library Director, presented her with a Certificate
of Dedication in recognition of valuable contributions to Handley Regional Library, Stewart Bell Jr. Archives.

A highlight of the afternoon was the presentation from Margaretta Barton Colt of “Milroy’s Valentine” to the Stewart Bell Jr. Archives. This is a political cartoon drawn by Cornelia MacDonald and later copied and painted by Fanny Jones Barton. Margaretta made this gift

“In honor of Rebecca’s 35 fruitful years at the Handley Library where she has made the archives the fine historical resource that it is.”
