Adult Book Discussion: Memoir Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed
Join us in Conference Room 2 as we discuss the memoir Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed. Four years after her mother's death and the destruction of her marriage, Cheryl Strayed impulsively decided to hike more than a thousand miles of the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to Washington State—and she would do it alone. She had no training or experience, and felt she had nothing more to lose. The difficult journey would madden, strengthen and ultimately heal her. Join us in the American Veterans Auditorium as we create travel journals to show you how to document your travel adventures through writing, sketching and more. Registration slots are limited. Summer Movie Afternoon: Jungle Cruise
Wednesday, June 26: 2:00 - 4:30PM Join us in the American Veterans Auditorium for a summer movie showing of the adventure film Jungle Cruise (rated PG-13). The 2021 film, which stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, tells the alternate history of the captain of a small riverboat who takes a scientist and her brother through a jungle in search of the Tree of Life while competing against a German expedition and cursed conquistadors. Drinks and popcorn will be provided at this film showing. Adults and teens aged 13 and older are welcome to attend. Registration is required and opens Wednesday, June 12

Dog Day with the Greenwood Humane Society
Monday, August 26: 5:30 - 7:30PM Celebrate with us on National Dog Day, which encourages dog ownership of all breeds. The Greenwood Humane Society will have a variety of dogs available for adoption.
