There are many talented, “quiet” poetry authors in the Garrett community.  Those that write their poetry as a means of sorting through feelings, dealing with crisis or joy, or just getting out the words their mind keeps putting together.  We are also home to several published poets.  Garrett Public Library would like to celebrate all of you!  We are hosting a POETRY JAM on Thursday, April 28 at 6 PM in the Community Room. No matter where you are in your poetry journey, join us!  Bring some samples and share with the group or just enjoy listening and getting inspiration from others.  We will have refreshments, share talents and meet new people.  Please call or stop by and let us know if you plan to take part in reading your work (357-5485).
