Beginning August 1, Garrett Public Library will be joining Evergreen Indiana,
This is a collaboration of over 100 libraries in Indiana that share materials. This means that you will have access to many more materials. If you want an item that we don’t have in our building, we can find the item on the computer system, put it on hold for you, it will be sent to our library, and you will get a message when it is ready to be picked up. You are also able to go to any Evergreen library in the state and check out items and return items to any of the libraries.
All patrons will need to come in with ID the week of August 1 to get their new Evergreen Card.
Parents will need to come in with juveniles under 17 years old to get their Evergreen Card.
Tuesdays from 10:30-11:30
The library will be closed on Monday, July 4th.

We are celebrating Indiana’s 200th birthday this year. To help us celebrate, adults may check out our stuffed bison. You can take him on vacation, to a restaurant, or just hang out with him at home. Take a picture of yourself (and your family) with the Bicentennial Bison and add it to the Garrett Public Library Facebook Page! You can also help us name our Bison. Pick up a sheet at either desk to turn in your suggestion for the name of the Garrett Public Library Bicentennial Bison! His name will be chosen by popular vote at the Summer Reading Finale on July 16th.
