2014 Summer Reading Program

We invite you to EXPLORE your ELEMENT at Gallatin Public Library this year!  Our AMAZING Reading Programs, Incentives, and Events have us BURSTING with energy for our Science themed Summer Reading Programs!

 

 


Children Summer Reading Program Ages 0-12

Each child from birth to 12 years old, will receive a reading log when they register.  For every 15 minutes read (independently, in a group, or read to) mark off a symbol on your reading log. After 2 hours, 6 hours and 10 hours (the whold log), bring in your log and choose from a variety of fun prizes!  Each child may complete up to 3 reading logs during the summer.  For the 2nd and 3rd log, the entire sheet must be filled in before earning incredible prizes!

 


Teen Summer Reading Program Agest 12-18

In order to be in the Teen program, you  must be between the ages of 12 and 18.  At registration you will be given a reading log, all  you have to do is READ, record the book and the number of pages you read.  When you finish the book, bring in your log and we will have a vast amount of AWESOME prizes in the GPL Emporium, from pins to posters and jewelry to light-sabers!  The more pages you read, the more prizes you will earn!


Adult Summer Reading Program Ages 18 and up

Summer Reading is not just for kids anymore!  This year, for the first time everm, we are rewarding Adults 18 and up for reading too!  Simply pick up  an Adult Summer Reading Book Review Form to fill out for each book you read.  Once the form is completed it can be submitted to the downstairs circulation desk to be entered into a weekly drawing for prizes!  The more books read, and forms completed, the more chances to win!  The form must be completed fully in order to be entered into the drawings, including a very brief review of the book.  There is no limit to the number of books you can read, let's see what you can do!  What will you win?
