Children's Programs

Lapsit Program--ages 0-3 and caregiver
A 4 -week program that features interaction between parent and child, and involving fingerplays, songs, rhymes, and books. Designed to help develop motor skills, language, and social skills. Great preparation for Story Hour participants and pre-school. Caregiver must attend with child. Watch our calendar or call Ms.Mary at 845-7851 for scheduled dates. Pre-registration encouraged.

Story Hour--ages 3-5
A regulary scheduled program on Mondays from 10-11 featuring books, songs, activities, crafts and games that prepare children for reading. No registration required.

Summer Reading Program--ages 6-12
A summer program on Mondays at 11 during the month of June that is designed to keep students reading during the summer break. This year's theme is Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales. Bookmobile students also participate through the bookmobile.

Be a Book Cook--ages 3-5 and caregiver
Six individual progams that are aimed at promoting literacy by combining reading, cooking, and other story related activities. These sessions are offered in connection with the FC Extension Office.
