Other Information - History

The Eva Public Library began in a retired bookmobile in 1980. A permanent building was erected in 1986. The upstairs was finished in 1993 and an addition doubling the available space was added in 2000.

At the beginning, the library was open only one day a week. For the first 20 years, the library was operated totally by volunteers. With the new addition in 2000, two part-time librarians were hired by the Town of Eva. Each librarian worked three days per week.

In November 2005, the library celebrated its 25th anniversary of library service in the Town of Eva.
