All Elbert County public libraries will be closed on Monday, May 28th, in observance of Memorial Day.

The Simla Library will launch a video contest for teens on May 1st.  Contestants, who are ages 13-18, must create a short drama or film, which features Simla as its setting.  The top three films will receive Amazon.com gift cards, courtesy of the Simla Friends of the Library.   The library will show the top eight films to the public during Simla Days, and all films will be posted on the library's YouTube.com channel.  Call 719-5412573 or email simla@elbertcountylibrary.org for details.  Equipment is available for check out.
