Baby & Me Story Time

Baby & Me Story Time - Van Buren Public Library

Every Tuesday from 10:30-11:00 am, Ms. Bridgette uses a variety of bouncing rhymes, finger plays, songs, music, and books to create a worthwhile bonding experience at the library for babies up to 2 1/2 years and their caregiver. After story time, toys are available for play time and a chance for caregivers to visit. For more information, please call Mrs. Bridgette at 474-6045.

Tweens & Teen Time at Van Buren Library!

Tweens & Teens are invited to come to the Van Buren Public Library and enjoy time with friends, Monday - Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 pm! We will have a variety of board games to choose from.

Lead Acid Battery Class in Alma

Come to the Alma Library, May 3rd at 4:00 p.m. to learn the basics of the lead acid battery, such as desulfating the lead acid battery and building a desulfating battery charger. This free class is for adults. For more information call the library at 632-4140.

Books & Movies at Van Buren Library

The month of May kicks off the summer Van Buren Library Books & Movies Show Time with movies made of unforgettable books. The first to be shown Saturday, May 4th, is an Oscar nominated PG-13 movie set in 19th century France. Based on Victor Hugo's classic with Oscar winner, Anne Hathaway, this movie deals with "unrequited love, passion, sacrifice, and redemption". Call Ms. Lily for the title, 474-6045. Homeschool Hour @ Van Buren Library

An art project is planned for the May 7th Homeschool Hour at 1:30 p.m. On May 14 at 1:30 there will be a speaker for Homeschooler Hour.

Science Club for Kids @ Alma

Chris Dickens from UAMS will be at the Alma Library May 7th at 4:00 p.m. to teach you everything you will ever want to know about Newton's Laws of Motion.

Scrabble Club

May 7 & 21st @ Van Buren Library

Come join us at Van Buren Public Library to play the original Words with Friends! Adults and Seniors sign up at the circulation desk or call 479-474-6045 to join the Scrabble Club today. Scrabble Club will meet at the Library on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 pm. Refreshments will be provided, but please bring your own beverage with a lid.

Mother's Day Crafts

May 9th is the day to get creative for Mother's Day!

The Libraries in Alma (4:00), Cedarville (3:30), Mulberry (3:30),and Van Buren (3:30) will have supplies on hand to make a gift that will be treasured forever!

Teen Luau in the Library

Aloha! Tweens & Teens are invited to a Luau at the Library, May 10 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. Games, food and music will be supplied for you and your friends to enjoy
