Colleyville Public Library celebrates its 10th Summer Reading Program!
Readers of all ages can earn prizes for the books they read and/or listen to (e-books and audiobooks count too!) at the Library this summer! Keep track of your books by the number of titles or by the number of minutes that you read. The more you read, the more prizes you can earn, and the more entries you can get for the Grand Prize Drawing! First day to claim prizes is Friday, JUNE 7!
Registration begins Monday, June 3 at 10:00 a.m.

Also, visit the library June 10  - July 28 for FREE daily activities, including weekly story times for children (ages 18 months – grade 3), Chess Club (ages 8-15), LEGO Mania, Globetrotters (grades 3-5), and Friday Family Movies. Enjoy exciting performers every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, including live animals, magic shows, ventriloquists, Mad Science, All-American Frisbee Dogs, and more! The Summer Reading Program kicks off with an exciting Wizard of Oz theme party on Friday, June 7, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and will culminate with the outdoor Summer Reading Grand Finale on Friday, August 2, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Friday, June 7th      6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Mayor Kelly will open the Emerald City Prize Room, where kids 12 & under can sign up and earn prizes for the books they read and listen to this summer! For those who have already registered, this is the first day you can claim a prize. The evening will also feature Wizard of Oz costumed characters and exciting children’s crafts and activities.

NO preregistration required.

Registration for Summer Story Times
Enjoy stories, crafts, and fun activities at the library during library story time! Registration is open to all library card holders (child or caregiver). Space is limited, so register early! Preference will be given to Colleyville residents; non-residents will be notified if a spot is available. Story times available for ages 18 months through grade 3. Chess Club open to ages 8 - 15. Registration will open Monday, June 3, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. and can be done either in person or online. Find the class on the calendar that you would like to register for (any week), then click on the Register button. Caregivers must fill out one registration form per child.
**PLEASE NOTE**: Submission of a story time registration form DOES NOT guarantee the child a spot in the class. Registration requests will be processed as quickly as possible in the order they are received. A staff member will call all story time registrants to confirm whether or not there is a spot available in the class. The Colleyville Public Library makes an effort to include as many children as possible in story time that our safety, staffing, and budget guidelines allow.
