Can I order a book from another library?

Yes, patrons may request and borrow books from other libraries within Michigan through the Michigan eLibrary InterLibrary Loan system.  Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is offered to any library user with a current library card in good standing with the Coleman Area Library or any of our co-op member libraries. The user should have no outstanding charges or overdue materials of any kind. The loan period for ILL materials is set by the lending library.

If loss or damage occurs while the item is in the user’s possession, the user will be charged replacement fees and/or damage cost as determined by the lending library.

Please place no more than four holds on ILL items at a time.  ILL Items must be picked up within ten (10) business days after the library informs the user that the ILL material has arrived at the Coleman Area Library.  If the item is not picked up in a timely manner, it will be returned to the lending library.
