The Library of Michigan’s Ready to Read Michigan program encourages reading aloud regularly to children during the early stages of life, as it ensures the development of early literacy skills and instills a love of reading. Chippewa River District Library supports this program by participating in this year's visit.

Connie Schofield-Morrison and Frank Morrison, author/illustrator of the inaugural Ready to Read Michigan book, I Got Rhythm, will be joining us for an author visit.


Ready to Read Michigan is presented by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Library of Michigan, Consumers Energy Foundation and the Library of Michigan Foundation.
