Shepherd Community Friends of the Library (SCFOL) Mission: To promote excellence in our library by working with the Library Board and staff to support our library, its services, and its programs. To carry out this mission, the Friends focus will be on public relations, advocacy, fundraising, special programs, and volunteer services.
Meetings are held every 3rd Thursday of the month (except August and December) at the Shepherd Community Library at 7:00pm. The public is welcome to attend.

- To create awareness of the library in the community, its services, and its needs.
- To speak to civic groups, attend government meetings, and write legislators.
- To undertake projects to raise needed funds for the library.
- To assist staff to provide activities of interest in the community.
- To provide volunteer help in the library.
