Senior Rotating Book Collection

The Chippewa River District Library System is now offering a rotating book collection to senior centers, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes in the CRDL district. The rotating collection includes fiction, such as mysteries, westerns, and romance, as well as non-fiction. Seniors and their visitors will be able to choose from regular print, large print and audio formats to make the books easier to enjoy. Books in the collection are delivered to the various locations and are rotated every six weeks so you can always look forward to new material. The collections can also be customized to fit whatever space you have available.

There is no charge for this service and users do not need a library card to participate. Books are checked out to the organization and are marked with a location and due date to minimize confusion over where to return the items. Of course, seniors are still welcome to come to the library to check out books and attend our programs!

If your organization is interested in participating in the rotating book collection, call Corey at 989-773-3242 x42 or email at to register. Your organization will be added to our rotation and you will receive a collection as soon as one becomes available.

As always, we appreciate your suggestions and feedback. If you are already using this service, let us know how you like it or what improvements we can make.
