Alabama Virtual Library:  The AVL allows patrons to access a large variety of reference sources and databases for research and study. Can be accessed by anyone living in Alabama. HeritageQuest Online:  You’ll find U.S. federal census records, family histories, published genealogies, historical books, Revolutionary War records, Freedman’s Bank records, and more to help you trace your American ancestors’ paths across history. Requires CERL library card available at public libraries in Walker and Winston counties. Log in with the library card number found on the back of your card.

Homework Alabama:  Homework Alabama provides live tutors to assist students in grades K-12, college introductory courses, and the adult learner. Available from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday - Thursday. Can be accessed by anyone living in Alabama.

Learning Express Library:  Skill-building and test preparation materials for standardized tests. Interactive practice exams based on official exams. Scoring and analysis of practice test responses. Basic skills, college preparatory, civil service, GED, and some specific careers. Requires CERL library card available at public libraries in Walker and Winston counties.
