1. How do I apply for a library card?
You can apply for a library card at any public library in Walker or Winston County, Alabama. If you are a resident of or work within Walker or Winston Counties, you may present your driverís license or non-driverís I.D. as proof. 2. Can I check out a book or use the computer if I donít have my library card?
No, each patron must present his/her library card to access library services. The staff can not look up your information, and patrons are not allowed to use a library card that does not belong to them.

3. Can I get a replacement library card?
If you have misplaced your library card, you may purchase a replacement card for $5.

4. Do you have e-books?
Yes, Ebooks and audiobooks are available for download to your eReader or mobile device through Camellia Net, a digital library for several Alabama libraries. All you need to check out and download is an internet connection, a valid library card in good standing from any Carl Elliott Regional Library branch, and free software available to transfer your downloaded materials to your eReader or mobile device. To log in to your account, use your library card number found on the back of your card and your PIN number. The default PIN is 1111 if you've never accessed your account on our website.

5. How do I renew my books?
Library materials can be renewed in person, over the phone, or online. To renew over the phone, please call your local library. Phone numbers for each library can be found by visiting: Locations

6. Can you order a book for me?
If the Carl Elliott Regional Library and its member libraries do not own a copy of a book you wish to borrow, the Carl Elliott Regional Library can request a copy from another library within the state of Alabama.

7. Do you accept donations?
Yes, you may drop off any material you wish to donate at any one of our member libraries.

8. Will you proctor a test for me?

9. How do I reserve a book?
Patrons may place holds on material in person, over the phone, or online. For a detailed walkthrough visit: Circulation of Material

10. How do I reserve the meeting room?
The Community Room of the Carl Elliott Regional Library is available for public use to groups or organizations of a civic, cultural, or educational character. For detailed steps outlining reservation of the meeting room visit: Community Room
