The final book in the long-running series featuring the Reverend Curtis Black, including A Sinful Calling (2016) and Sin of a Woman (2017), is full of Roby's trademark drama, surprises, forgiveness, and hope. Curtis is shocked when he learns that Trina, his long-estranged sister, has only a short while to live. Charlotte then learns about a more serious situation at her daughter's school.
