About the Library
The Monett Branch Library serves as the regional headquarters for library service in Barry and Lawrence Counties. The Monett Branch, Regional Processing Center, and Administrative Headquarters are located in rural southwestern Missouri. Trained library personnel provide extended reference service and interlibrary loan searches for the nine other branches in the consolidated library district. Van delivery service originates at the Monett Branch. 

Schedule of Events

Preschool Story Time  
Tuesdays & Wednesdays @ 11:30 AM

Ages 3 - 5 and 1 - 3 if accompanied by parent or caregiver

Preschool story time will introduce preschoolers to books and the public library in a fun, exciting way. Story time sessions will include stories, songs, finger plays, and crafts which help children develop language and listening skills.

Story time sessions start promptly at their scheduled time and are 30 minutes in length. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to remain in the library during story time. 

Preschool story time is held September to mid - December. After a break over the Christmas holidays, story time resumes January to mid-May.

Page Turner Book Club
2nd Wednesday @ 2:00 pm

All adults are welcome. The book club is led by Linda Lanning.

The book club will be held from September through May.

The "Page Turners" will meet monthly to discuss the selected books. There will be a question and answer session during each meeting. Ask at the front desk for the current book selection.
