 About the Library
The Aurora Branch Library joined the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library System in 1979.  Aurora is often called the "Summit City of the Ozarks", because it was built on the apex of a range of the Ozark Mountains at 1400 feet above sea level.

The Aurora Branch Library is located at 202 Jefferson Street in Aurora, MO, two blocks east of the city courthouse.

A meeting room is available free of charge for non-profit groups and for a small fee to all others. Rules and restrictions will apply.  For more information and to schedule use please contact the library staff.

Preschool Story Time
Wednesdays 10:00 AM

Story Time is held mid-September through mid-May, with a two-week break over the Christmas holidays.

Tot/Preschool story time will introduce your child to books and the public library. We will read, act out simple stories, make crafts, and have lots of fun! Group experiences help your child develop language and listening skills.

Story time sessions are held in the children's room on the main floor or in the downstairs community room.

Tot time is for ages 1 to 3 years old and preschool time is for ages 3 to 5 years old.

Story time sessions start promptly at their scheduled time and are 30 to 45 minutes in length. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to remain in the library during story time. Children, who are unwilling to be separated from parents, may be accompanied for the first two sessions. Parents or caregivers may be asked to assist with special holiday celebrations by bringing prepackaged cookies or treats.
