Veterans History Program With the help of volunteers, the Library has collected the recollections of those who served our nation in time of war. Part of the Veterans History Project of the the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, the project strives “to honor our nation’s war veterans for their service and to collect their stories and experiences while they are still among us”. The Project covers World War I, World War II, and the Korean, Vietnam, and Persian Gulf wars. It includes all participants in those wars, “men and women, civilian and military, civilian volunteers, support staff, war industry workers, and all military personnel”. A national web site for this project is available at www.loc.gov/folklife/vets.

The Belen History Collection The Library collects and preserves materials that capture the past and present history of Belen. A unique collection from the Belen Public Library, “in the Heart of Belen”.
