Library Mission Statement:
The mission of the Barton Library is to provide: customer service that exceeds expectations; information in a variety of formats that educates, inspires, and entertains; and a welcoming environment for lifelong learning linking this community to the world.


This years Summer Reading Program is "Fizz! Boom! Read. Registration is now being accepted.  Children 1st through 6th grades will have special weekly programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 10 through July 17 at 2:00 p.m. Week One will feature biology and week two will be chemistry.  On week three, electricity and batteries will be featured.  Sessions for July will feature experiments in physics and magnetism, earth sicence and geology and space science. Storytime for 3 and 4 year olds will continue at 10:30 on Wednesdays throughout the summer. On July 18th there will be a "Mad Science Blow-out" party.
