The library's offerings just got an upgrade--we are excited to officially announce the launch of our Library of Things!

This type of non-traditional collection has been gaining popularity at other libraries across the nation and contains items for hobbies, recreation, DIY projects, and more.

This will provide the community with multiple benefits such as helping you save money, reduce clutter, and prevent waste by being able to try out a hobby before committing or borrow a specific tool for that one project you've been meaning to tackle.

Our ghost hunting kit has garnered lots of positive feedback and interest since being graciously donated by our Friends of the Alma Public Library to kick-start this collection. Since then, we have added an electric drill, cake pans, a metal detector, karaoke machine, stud finder, and an I-beam level. We hope that these items can bring utility and enjoyment to the community!
