SC Indentity Theft Information

Beginning October 24, 2013, eligible South Carolina taxpayers and businesses can sign up for one year of CSID Identity Protection services. The deadline for enrollment is October 1, 2014.

Taxpayers (including dependents) and business who filed electonic tax returns with South Carolina  between 1998 and 2012 are eligible for this service.

Go to OR call 855-880-2743 toll free to enroll with a specialist.

In 2012, state and federal officials announced that the South Carolina Department of Revenue computer files had been hacked. The international hackers gained access to approximately 3.6 million tax returns.
