When Tina the curious cow learns how to fly from a dragon, her sisters think she's gone too far! One day Tina decides to climb a tree, and she is astounded to meet in its branches a kindred creative spirit in the form of a friendly, vegetarian dragon. When she returns home to tell her sedate sisters, they respond as they always do"IMPOSSIBLE! RIDICULOUS! NONSENSE!"and head on to bed. The next morning, they find a note saying that Tina has gone flying with the dragon, so they set out to bring her home. To everyone's surprise, the sisters find the world beyond the farm so amazing that it inspires them to embrace new experiences and go flying with their fearless sister. Merino's whimsical illustrations mark Tina as different by depicting her as slightly smaller than her sisters and with purple spots (her sisters' are all blue). The smartly comical portrayals help Tina's sisters' personalities shine through as well, their body language and facial expressions making their frustrations all the funnier and their eventual change of heart that much more endearing.
