The Alma Friends of the Library invite you to visit the Library on Wednesday, April 24 from 3:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. for their second annual Open House!
The Friends group has many exciting things planned, including giveaways, storytime, and history presentations! With the generous support of Alma Walmart and Meijer, they are pleased to offer a delicious picnic style meal to all attendees to include hot dogs, chips, and soda. Plus, we'll have staff available to help you get a library card, answer tech questions, and help you get set up with our digital services, Libby and hoopla!
WMLM 105.9 will be broadcasting on-site, and there is an exciting giveaway for Aaron Lewis's upcoming concert at Soaring Eagle Casino!
This is a drop-in type event, but there are some scheduled programs:
- Storytime with Miss Marla
- Library History talk with former Director Bryan Dinwoody
- A History of Republic Truck, featuring Joe Butcher and local historian Jim Goodspeed. Check the library parking lot - at least one historic Republic Truck will be on site!
*This event is sponsored by the Alma Friends of the Library with generous support from Meijer and Walmart of Alma, Ballyhoo Books, Biggby of Alma, Bravehearts Pub, Little Caesar's of Alma, Michael Richard Floral Boutique, Serendipity Frozen Custard, and Tom Billig Flowers.
