CURBSIDE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 9 A.M. to 6 P.M.

On June 17, 2020 the Library board voted to remain offering curbside pickup with the building closed to the public through July 15, 2020. At the July 15, 2020 Board of Trustees meeting,  the board will revisit opening the library doors to the public.

This is phase two of the opening plans.

Curbside Pick up steps:

1. Call the library at 665-6038 to request books. Or log in to your account on our system and place items on hold, you will need your library card number and your pin. Your pin is the last four digits of your phone number that we have on file. Or send us an email at acpl@adairco.org or jlivingston@adairco.org. Or send us a Facebook message. Patrons may request up to 15 items per card. Patrons  can request titles, authors, genres, or simply say SURPRISE ME!

2. Staff will pull and check out items. This may take several hours. Staff will notify patrons when items are ready for pick up.

STAFF WILL NEED AT LEAST AN HOUR TO PULL ITEMS. PLEASE DO NOT JUST SHOW UP IN THE PARKING LOT.

3. Patrons will park in a numbered spot in the parking lot and call the library to notify staff that they are ready for curbside.

4. Staff will deliver the items to the parking lot and place the items in car trunks or back seats. This will be contact free delivery.

Items may also be returned this way. The staff will be quarantining returned items for FOUR days before they are placed back into circulation. There will be NO FINES during this time.

We will do faxing, printing, and copying. Call us for details. We will charge our regular fees. Email us at acpl@adairco.org to have documents printed.

Phase three of the opening plan is to open the library doors for limited services Director Jami Livingston states that this phase will come when covid 19 cases decline. “We want to offer library services to the community, but safety for all is top priority. Curbside delivery will help get materials out into our community. We will remain in phase two for longer than anticipated. Please be patient with the library as we navigate this new situation that everyone is living in right now. Thank you!”
Phase four is back to normal pre-Covid 19 conditions. This plan is fluid and adjustable as we move forward.

If you need a library card, email us at jlivingston@adairco.org and we will get you one.
